I don’t sleep as well as I used to. My mother probably would have said “it’s your age, dear”. And it probably is.
So, I’ve tried the following. Can anyone suggest anything that’s worked for them?
1. Listening to music. Great if it’s Enigma, not quite so slumber inducing if Iron Maiden is in the playlist.
2. Reading. But not horror. Or a thriller. Or too captivating else I’ll need to keep reading to find out what happens. Or too saucy. *Clears throat, fans self vigorously*
3. A hot milky drink, but I don’t like milk much. Blerr.
Classics work wonders for me!

Gentle yoga and meditation. I do drink milk, which I heat and then add a bit of raw honey to. It’s definitely more challenging to get to sleep these days, and I have to “work” at it.

Honey, yes, you’ve reminded me. There was a programme on UK TV last night extolling the virtues of honey, lemon and hot water to treat coughs, saying it was as effective as cough syrups and with no drug side effects. I think I’ll buy some when I go shopping on Saturday. Maybe it’ll sort out my cough and my sleeping problem. Thank you!

My cure for insomnia consists of staying awake until I pass out. It has a 100% success rate but my doctor tells me it’s not good for me.

Like it! Maybe I’m worrying too much about getting enough sleep, when I’m tired enough it will just happen.
