“Oh. It’s a frog. A tiny green frog.”
And it was. Sitting on the patio next to the decking. Tiny, and well, green, I suppose. Nothing wrong with my sister’s eyesight. She picked it up, fingers clasped carefully around its little body. I don’t know how she did that. I shuddered, wouldn’t have wanted it in my hand.
“Look, it’s really sweet.”
She shoves it almost in my eye and I bat her hand away. “Yes, very nice. Now put it down, you don’t know where it’s been.
She lifts it towards her face for a closer look I suppose, and it lunges towards her lips. She drops it with a squeal.
As the frog hits the ground, there’s a flash and a bang. When my ears stop ringing and my eyes refocus, there’s a man sitting on the patio, when the frog had been. A gorgeous man, muscled, dark haired, green eyes. Um-mm.
He reaches out a hand to my sister, caresses her cheek. “Mademoiselle, you have released me from a wicked spell and made a prince very happy. What can I ever do to repay you?”
My sister stands there wth her hands on her hips, all that yummy man-candy in front of her, offering itself on a plate.
“Well, I really quite liked the frog.”
You made me smile with this one. Great job. @sheilamgood at Cow Pasture Chronicles
