100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups – week 176

Julia at http://www.juliasplace.org.uk gave us this prompt  … But I thought we were friends …
Here’s my take on it.

He was the same age as me. My parents adopted him into our family as a baby abandoned by his natural mother.
We played together, fought like natural siblings, mastered toilet training together. But when I left home to go to university, he had to stay behind.
And when I came home and tried to pick up where we’d left off?
He didn’t recognise me, took a chunk out of my face.
I still don’t know what went wrong.
Ok, I know I wasn’t a Chimpanzee like him, but I thought we were friends.
